I've been working using video instead of static images for a while now on the hero image for websites and it helps to give the website a greater depth and interest factor. Generally, video can be fairly expensive to undertake even a short 2-3 minute video can run into the thousands to complete, however, like stock photos, there is also a number of free copyright stock videos out there that you can use.

I used a stock video recently in Amoa Seafoods new website, and to add greater interest and texture to it I layered this with a water droplet .png layer, then layered over the top of that with an image of a paua shell plus brief intro text. The client was absolutely delighted with the look
